Why Guatemala

Our Heirloom Wicker Bassinetts (hyperlink) are handmade by artisans in Guatemala.  Bundle and Bloom has special ties to Guatemala and we are always looking for ways to give back to the people there. Jody spent many years living in Guatemala and raising her children, including company founder, Laynie, in Guatemala where her husband works as an archaeologist.  (We lived in a tent in the rainforest!!!)  Maegan married Jody's oldest son, and Laynie's younger brother and so now she and her children have also spent time in the rainforest of Guatemala. We feel a connection to the people, the geography and the culture.  We are proud to help create sustainable income for the local artisans.
